Pastor Dave and Sarah

David Bailey started pastoring Rose City Presbyterian Church in January 2017. He studied at Moore College in Sydney and Queensland Theological College in Brisbane before starting full-time ministry at Creek Road Presbyterian Church in 2011. Six years of being an assistant pastor in a large city church with his wife Sarah was a valuable experience.

David loves meeting and talking to people, and is passionate about teaching the Gospel – and why Jesus brings us such freedom and joy. He also loves walking alongside others in ministry and is mentoring other pastors – sharing his learned wisdom and helping equip them for the long haul of loving people well. Before entering full-time ministry David enjoyed managing bank branches and mortgage broking. He loves following the Queensland Reds, playing touch footy, listening to good books and is learning to love being in the garden and all God is teaching him there.

Sarah Bailey can often be found playing the keyboard and leading the congregation in praise on Sundays, or leading Kids Church or making coffee. Sarah has a heart for caring for and encouraging people, and has completed study in Biblical Counselling through the Christian Counseling Educational Foundation. She also has a desire to see people grow in godliness and grace – walking alongside others in ministry. Sarah has completed the three year Mentor Equipping Queensland course and loves listening well to people. She is a Music and English teacher at Warwick Christian College and really enjoys hanging out with her staff team there and seeing students being educated for life and equipped for eternity.

Together they have three wonderful sons and are thankful for the privilege and joy of being parents. They are also thankful for a church family here in Warwick. With one another they are: Growing in God, Learning to Love, Welcoming All.

Our Elders

Rose City is part of the Presbyterian Church of Queensland. The word presbyterian comes from an ancient greek word ‘presbyteros’ which means elder. Our churches are ruled by elders and our Pastor Dave is the teaching elder in our local church. We currently have three men serving as elders at Rose City Pressy. David Bailey, David Hanna andJeff Mackay.

Our Committee of Management

Our Committee of Management is responsible for the care and maintenance of our church property, our financial affairs, and helps lead the care of our ministry team and wider church family. The committee is elected each year from and by the congregation. It is a larger team, with separate teams overseeing administration, property and care of people. Our deacons are servant-hearted people who love the church well with their gifts and time.
